Smooth fire polished glass beads, sometimes also called "druks", are made from the same raw material as faceted beads. Yet opalescent and opaque colors are used much more frequently, whereas surface finishes are applied less often.

Smooth fire polished beads are sold in quantities of 100 dozen or multiples thereof.

The quantity of 100 dozen (hdz) or 1200 pieces is sometimes referred to as 1 mass.

Round beads, 111 19001, represent the basic shape. They are available in sizes ranging from 3 to 21 mm. Below is the chart of the most popular colors, but the choice is naturally much wider.

Of course, round beads represent only one of the shapes produced. In fact, smooth fire polished beads are made in a wide selection of shapes and sizes (and colors)!
