Oil lamps and candles are most suitable for indoor decoration and for the evocation of a peaceful, poetic atmosphere. They also represent unique giftware appropriate for many occasions. Our inventory includes fancy oil lamps of very high quality and top artistic value.
The lamps and candles are handcrafted from highest quality durable glass. Some of these have solid brass or copper stands. The metal stand bears a small glass fuel container with a burner and, in lamp designs, a superior Bohemian glass chimney, a nice example of traditional Czech artistic glass manufacture.
A wide selection of glass chimneys is offered. The spectrum of chimneys includes clear crystal glass, milk glass, amber glass, red lustered crystal with hand engraved pattern, clear crystal with hand painted gold colored ornamentation, and stained crystal (rose, blue or green) decorated with an elaborate, truly traditional "high enamel" pattern.
The stands are supplied in several finishes: antique brass, polished brass, antique copper, and nickel plated. The metal base / glass chimney combination may be chosen by the buyer. The metal stands can be engraved.
We also offer a wide selection of all glass candles. They utilize the color of the fuel as a decorative feature. Many shapes are available.
Oil lamps and candles can be fueled with long burning lamp oils, preferably colored, either scented or unscented. Kerosene is another alternative, but it is not recommended for indoor use because of offensive odor.
